DIY valentines day treat or gift holder [ up-cycling project ]

Greetings! welcome to my blog

This blog is all about craft, DIY, upcycling, recycling. jewellery making and all most everything related to crafts and arts.

Today's content is a DIY project on Recycling tin cans to a gift holder or treat holder.

Materials required are

  1. Tin can
  2. Pliers
  3. Pattern paper (valentines themed) cheaper option of pattern paper is gift wrap paper
  4. Glue
  5. Hot glue (optional if u want a quick adhesion)
  6. Scissors
  7. Ruler and pencil
  8. Tissue paper
  9. Embellishments (best is to cut off small elements from old cards or u can die cut)
  10. Satin ribbon

Clean and dry tin can (be careful while doing this, you know what I mean -  the sharp edges)
Paint the can, use white or red coloured paint
Now use the pliers to press down the sharp edges towards the side, and this step makes your cutproof.

Cut the pattern paper, so that it covers the outer surface of the can.
Apply glue on the can

Paste the pattern paper on the tin can and allow it to dry

Cut the tissue paper 4" place lengthwise and 12" width wise. Fold and glue the tissue paper so as form fringes (one side only)

Glue the  fringed tissue paper inside the can at 1" from the mouth of the can
Fill the can with the sweet treat, tie the tissue paper with satin ribbon and decorate with elements
OR fill the can with shredded paper or confetti place the gift on that and tie the tissue paper with a ribbon and add the decorative pieces

Tada!!!! We are done! This is cute sweet little treat box try it
